The World Forum in The Hague Hosts the 2025 NATO Summit
In June 2025, the World Forum in The Hague hosted the NATO Summit, a major international gathering of heads of state, ministers, diplomats, and experts from over 30 countries. Behind the scenes, GL events teams deployed their full expertise to meet exceptional logistical and security challenges.
A TECHNICAL AND URBAN CHALLENGE SUCCESSFULLY MET
Starting in April, site preparations required extraordinary operations: the closure of a road adjacent to the World Forum, normally used by 30,000 vehicles per day; the relocation of 15 trees; and the removal of urban fixtures (streetlights, traffic lights, art installations) to enable the installation of two temporary, two-story structures totaling 14,000 m². This achievement was made possible by close coordination between the World Forum teams, GL events Belgium, French colleagues, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the City of The Hague, and a network of trusted partners. Together, they ensured an efficient, secure deployment, managing every detail from delegation flows to venue layouts.

A RARE OPENING TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC
A highlight: just one hour after the delegations departed, the World Forum and its temporary structures were exceptionally opened to local residents. Nearly 5,000 people had the opportunity to explore behind the scenes of a world-class event in their own neighborhood. This successful initiative reflected the dedication and professionalism of the teams involved right up to the final moment.
