GL events UK is Official Overlay Supporter to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. In a first for the Commonwealth Games, the overlay contract also involves acting as Principal Designer and Principal Contractor.

Four days showcasing the beauty sector

The 28th Estetika, organised by GL events, will take place from 29 July to 1 August at Sao Paulo Expo in Brazil. This annual event is one of Latin America's largest trade fairs in the field of aesthetics. each year, it brings together trade professionals from the beauty, health-care and wellness sectors, such as dermatologists, plastic surgeons and beauticians.

GL events consolidates its presence in Chile

The city of Vitacura in Chile has entrusted GL events Chile with the management of the Metropolitan Santiago Convention & Event Center, formerly known as Casa Piedra. GL events' Chilean subsidiary took over the management and operation of this event venue on 26 June 2022.

GL events becomes the first events company to establish a "group membership" with the International Association of Convention Centres

The AIPC (International Association of Convention Centres) aims to promote and foster excellence in convention centres by providing them with all the requisite tools and support, through research, training and networking. Although certain GL events Venues convention centres were already members of the AIPC, today, all the division's venues  have become members of the association.

An exhibition that is one of a kind in its sector 

ExpoPostos, the benchmark event for the fuel-distribution and service-station sector, will be marking its 15th anniversary from 26 to 28 July at Sao Paulo Expo, an event venue managed by GL events. This international exhibition is devoted to the distribution of petrol products (covering imports and the whole supply chain), as well as related equipment for service stations and convenience stores.

A new venue and new additions for the qualifying competitions

Every two years, the World Pastry Cup finals and the Bocuse d'Or take place at Sirha Lyon, an event organised by GL events. To qualify for the finals of these prestigious competitions, which will be held in Lyon from 19 to 23 January 2023, the various teams must first take part in national and then continental qualifying sessions.

Four key themes at the heart of this year's exhibition

Eurobois – the trade fair devoted to the timber sector, as well as machinery for processing wood and making furnishings and fittings – will take place from 14 to 17 June 2022 at Eurexpo, Lyon.
