A new edition full of success

Organised by Toulouse Événements, a subsidiary of the GL events Group, the 7th edition of the SMAHRT (South-West Catering, Hotel and Food Trade Exhibition) took place from 20 to 22 March 2022 at the MEETT, the new Exhibition Centre in Toulouse.

On more than 17,000 m² of exhibition space, SMARHT welcomed 15,0000 visitors and more than 300 exhibitors during its three-day event. This 2022 edition benefited from a large and varied visitor base representing the entire catering industry: restaurateurs, butchers, bakers, pastry chefs, wine merchants and caterers.

Place of many national and regional competitions

SMAHRT has hosted more than 15 national and regional competitions, including the Femmes de Food competition. This event highlights women in the Toulouse food sector such as restaurateurs, producers, grocery shop managers and charcutières. Marie Franco, manager of the online grocery shop "Le Comptoir d'Anselme", won this trophy.

Other competitions took place such as the competition for the best traditional baguette, won by Julien Laborde of the Papa Laborde bakery, the competition for the best butcher's shop, the Glacetronomes trophy, the third French Neapolitan Pizza Championship and the Marcellin Pujol trophy.

SMAHRT looks forward to seeing you in 2024 for the 8th edition.

An edition marked by the focus on the region's actors

Local craftsmen, young apprentices and women entrepreneurs were highlighted through conferences, discussions and workshops in order to promote the richness of the region's terroir and the commitment of its actors.
