Rocalia

From 3 to 5 December 2019 at the Lyon Eurexpo Exhibition Park.

 

Rocalia is THE trade fair devoted to natural stone in France. Launched in 2017, Rocalia far exceeded the expectations of its organisers (GL events Exhibitions) and its partner, Pierre Actual, at its inaugural event. Some 125 exhibitors and 14,000 visitors came together for 3 days of professional exchanges and exclusive events.

The Rocalia Design Expo

The Rocalia Design Expo is an exhibition space at the show that presents natural stone items made by the exhibitors at the show, in collaboration with designers. The items are pre-selected by a design committee.

A thematic event area

To promote know-how and innovation in the natural stone sector, a thematic event area is set up each year.

Conferences

Rocalia is the benchmark event for addressing topical issues at conferences led by experts in the natural stone sector.
In 2017, Didier Repellin, chief architect at the French Department of Historic Monuments, gave a detailed lecture about the renovation of the Grand Hôtel Dieu in Lyon.

An architecture competition

This architectural competition organised by Pierre Actual and the SNROC aims to promote natural stone constructions. It acknowledges recent works carried out in France, mainly using natural stone (limestone, marble, granite, lava stone, sandstone, slate, etc.) quarried and/or processed in France.

Rocalia is committed to defending the sector by promoting training

In order to safeguard and preserve the quality of French know-how in the natural stone sector, the Rocalia trade fair places the spotlight on training and developing partnerships with the French Ministry of Education and the Compagnons du devoir.

Synergy with the landscape sector: the partnership with Paysalia

Paysalia, the trade fair devoted to landscaping, gardening and sport, is organised at the same time as Rocalia in order to take advantage of the sectors' complementary requirements and offer a comprehensive range of products and services to trade professionals.
