ONE HEALTH SUMMIT IN LYON: AN INTERNATIONAL GATHERING AT THE HEART OF GLOBAL HEALTH CHALLENGES
From April 5 to 7, 2026, Lyon hosted the One Health Summit, a high-level international summit dedicated to global health challenges. Organized at the initiative of the President of the French Republic as part of France’s G7 presidency, the event brought together scientists, public decision-makers and economic stakeholders around an approach that is now central: thinking jointly about human, animal and environmental health in order to better anticipate future crises.
The summit took place at the Lyon Convention Centre, which hosted all of its sessions within a setup tailored to the complexity and requirements of this international event.

Over two days, more than 600 scientists, 70 delegations and many leading figures gathered in Lyon, including several heads of state, French ministers and their foreign counterparts, as well as representatives of international organizations and the private sector.
The presence of these stakeholders, together with the closing address delivered by the Director-General of the World Health Organization, reflects the importance attached to this summit and its objectives. Discussions focused on major issues, ranging from the prevention of health crises to the impact of pollution and food systems on health, within a framework of strengthened international cooperation.

The Lyon Convention Centre hosted the various sessions of the summit, drawing on its auditoriums and a range of complementary spaces dedicated to conferences, bilateral meetings and the press.
The event relied on a substantial technical setup, with a strong audiovisual component and broadcast systems enabling several sites to be connected. Teams from the Live division were mobilized alongside the venue teams, illustrating the coordination of expertise required for this type of event.
At the same time, Matmut Stadium hosted another international event in the healthcare sector, organized independently from the One Health Summit. The close timing of these two events made it possible to set up occasional technical connections between the sites, illustrating the ability to deploy hybrid formats and connect multiple venues when needed.
The event took place in a demanding operational context, shaped in particular by security considerations and by the coexistence of other activities on site and in the surrounding area. This configuration required close coordination with all stakeholders involved.

Beyond the event itself, it reflects a positioning that is being built over time, at the crossroads of major contemporary challenges and the Group’s expertise.
