The exhibition has established itself as a leading event for the European industrial sector

The second Global Industrie, an international exhibition devoted to industry, took place from 5 to 8 March 2019. The event is organised by GL events and was held in Lyon for the first time in 2019. It brought together companies of all sizes, industrial manufacturers and start-ups, as well as public authorities, trade organisations, investors and students. More than 2,500 exhibitors presented their solutions and services for the industry of the future, in an exhibition area covering over 110,000m² at Eurexpo Lyon.

GLOBAL INDUSTRIE brings together four complementary trade fairs, all leaders in their sector, but each with its own specific characteristics:
-    MIDEST: the international reference in the field of subcontracting expertise,
-    SMART INDUSTRIES: the trade fair for smart, connected, collaborative and efficient factories,
-    INDUSTRIE: the trade fair for production technologies and equipment,
-    TOLEXPO: the international trade fair for sheet and coil metalworking, tubes and sections.

The 2019 Global Industrie included many highlights

Such as the Connected Factory. A total of 74 companies teamed up to create a real factory installed on site in a 1,100m² area. Their coordinated efforts made it possible to produce a medal every 10 seconds. More than 9,000 visitors observed the different stages of a manufacturing process that created customised medals, from design to final delivery. It was a hands-on demonstration of the latest technologies available.

A special "Campus" area covering 1,500 m² was devoted to education, employment and training.
Some 6,000 young people, students and pupils (including 1,100 middle-school pupils) and 1,722 job-seekers (or people looking to retrain) were able to use the various tools at their disposal to help build their future careers.

Several GL events Group divisions (furniture, audiovisual and signage) were in charge of the different installations and services, including the general installation of public areas (press rooms, VIP area, the Village, etc.), the supply of furniture for 24 stands (including the VIP Area and the restaurant), audiovisual and power-distribution equipment for 12 event spaces (including the conference rooms and the Connected Factory), etc.

The Profil agency provided reception and hospitality services throughout the event. The agency's stewards and hostesses worked in various areas, including the conference rooms and cloakrooms.
