GL events was chosen by the city of São Paulo, the 4th largest city in the world and economic capital of Latin America to manage the historic site of Anhembi.
Managed by the group since January 2022, this event complex includes:
- An exhibition area spanning over 75,000 sqm of fully air-conditioned halls, featuring acoustic modulation and exclusive entrances, capable of hosting up to 5 simultaneous events.
- The largest convention centre in Latin America, offering 36,000 sqm of space, which includes the iconic Celso Furtado Theater, 2 auditoriums, and 24 modular rooms.
- The Grande Otelo Cultural and Sports Hub—the Sambódromo, a true symbol of the city of São Paulo, which underwent one of its most significant revitalization projects.
Under GL events' management, the 400,000 sqm complex underwent a major modernization, with investments exceeding R$ 1.5 billion.
The objective of this vast renovation project was to restore the historic Anhembi site’s leading position and establish it as São Paulo’s first new generation international convention centre.
