CACLP 2026: A GLOBAL PLATFORM DRIVING INNOVATION IN DIAGNOSTICS

From March 21 to 23, 2026, the China International In Vitro Diagnostics Expo (CACLP) took place at the Xiamen International Expo Center in China. Confirming its position as one of the leading international events in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry, the exhibition brought together the entire value chain, researchers, manufacturers, laboratories, and experts, around the innovations shaping the future of medicine.

Covering the full spectrum of the value chain, from raw materials to clinical applications, CACLP stands as a structuring platform for a rapidly evolving sector, driven by advances in biotechnology, the rise of artificial intelligence, and the development of precision medicine.

A 2026 edition marked by innovation and opennes

Building on the momentum of recent years, notably a record-breaking 2025 edition in Hangzhou (1,350 exhibitors, over 45,000 visitors from more than 60 countries and regions, and 130,000 sqm of exhibition space), CACLP 2026 confirmed the exhibition’s growing influence and its role as an international platform.

The 2026 edition was characterized by several key developments aligned with the sector’s ongoing transformation. New thematic areas were introduced, particularly focusing on medical research and at-home testing, reflecting evolving healthcare needs and practices. A dedicated AI zone highlighted the increasing integration of digital technologies in diagnostics and laboratory medicine. A space dedicated to Contract Research Organizations (CROs) illustrated the emergence of new collaboration models within the industry.

In addition, the connection between scientific content and exhibition was further strengthened, with greater integration of academic activities directly within the exhibition halls. A comprehensive program brought together international experts, researchers, and decision-makers to address the sector’s scientific, industrial, and regulatory challenges.

A structuring lever for the industry at a global scal

Beyond its role as an exhibition, CACLP plays a key part in structuring the global diagnostics ecosystem. By fostering dialogue between research, industry, and public stakeholders, the event contributes to accelerating innovation and supporting the international development of companies in the sector.

For GL events Greater China, CACLP represents a strategic asset at the heart of a high-growth industry. It illustrates the Group’s ability to develop strong, locally anchored sector platforms in key markets, with international reach.

Through this type of event, GL events confirms its role alongside industries, designing formats that facilitate connections, support ecosystem development, and contribute to major industrial and scientific transformations.
