GL events demonstrated the true extent of its expertise

The final phase of the 2017 America’s Cup was held in the magnificent Bermuda archipelago from 26 May to 27 June. Emirates Team from New Zealand sailed to victory in the final race against defending champion Oracle Team USA. With a score of 7 to 1, New Zealand won the Cup for the third time in its history.

Having worked previous editions of the event in previous years in Auckland, Valencia, Trapani and Malmö, GL events demonstrated the true extent of its expertise in Bermuda. This year, the Group was selected as the supplier of temporary facilities in the America’s Cup Village. A multi-national project team - drawing on staff from our subsidiaries in the United States, Brazil, France and the United Kingdom - was set up for this mission.

From the installation and decoration of the structures to the furniture, power supply and look & feel, the Group once again demonstrated its unrivalled professionalism for the 35th edition of the America's Cup.
