The Do It Yourself Show
The fair for Do It Yourself enthusiasts in Eastern France is back for its 18th instalment. Creativa will take place from 6 to 9 February 2020 at the Metz Métropole Convention and Exhibition Centre. The show will bring together a whole host of exhibitors with a great programme of events, competitions and original exhibitions.
More and more people are getting involved in regular creative activities such as cooking, baking, DIY or decorating. This year's Creativa show will bring together more than 150 exhibitors, and visitors will be able to discover a wide range of handicrafts, new products and trends and get expert advice in areas such as: sewing, scrap-booking, model-making, creative cooking and much more.
The more active enthusiasts will be able to test their creativity and give free rein to their imagination during introductory workshops. There will be total of 12 thematic areas in which experts share their know-how with amateurs and novices. Participants will be able to create flower arrangements, terrariums, macramé, and natural cosmetics.
Several original exhibitions will also be open to visitors on themes such as creative patchwork (a sewing technique that consists of assembling several pieces of fabric of different sizes, shapes and colours), patchwork on jeans, doll's clothing, the city of Metz, and more. The theme of "Carnivals" will also be centre stage with an exhibition devoted to the Venice Carnival and the award ceremony for the "A vos Masques" competition, which was organised ahead of the show. The ceremony will reward the most creative mask, designed and made by the participants.
A "Blog & Company" space will be open to people who wish to meet bloggers specialised in the design world. Visitors will have the opportunity to exchange of ideas, discover the latest trends, learn about new techniques, and have fun. The space will be divided into 2 parts with a workshop for demonstrations and a more “cosy” area for discussions.
