EXPO 2025 OSAKA
Since April 13, Expo 2025 Osaka has been welcoming millions of visitors from around the world around an ambitious theme: “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” Until October 13, this international exhibition offers a unique showcase for technological, social, and sustainable innovations, as well as a space for encounters and dialogue between nations.
As a leading player in major international events, GL events is supporting this edition by mobilizing its Live division and GL events Japan KK. The Group is contributing its expertise to seven national and institutional pavilions: Germany, Serbia, Romania, Malta, the European Union, Spain, and Portugal.
Global expertise serving unique pavilions
Each pavilion reflects the identity and culture of its country. GL events was selected for its integrated approach, capable of bringing together in a single project design, construction, scenography, interior fit-out, and operational management.
- Germany Pavilion
In partnership with facts&fiction (a German specialist in museography and scenography) and the LAVA architecture agency, GL events is responsible for the architecture, engineering, fit-out, and scenography of the pavilion, as well as its maintenance and dismantling.
- Serbia Pavilion
The Group oversees design adaptation, construction, scenographic staging, and the full range of operational services (visitor reception, security, cleaning, maintenance, lost & found, and VIP services).
- Romania Pavilion
A comprehensive service including design, construction, scenographic fit-out, and cleaning services throughout the six months of the exhibition.
- Malta Pavilion
GL events handles the design, construction, scenography, and daily operations (reception, security, maintenance, cleaning), in partnership with BlueDot Management.
- European Union Pavilion
A turnkey project covering concept creation, construction, scenography, day-to-day operations, communication, and event management.
- Spain Pavilion
GL events provides visitor reception and staffing services to ensure smooth operations during the six-month exhibition.
- Portugal Pavilion
GL events is also in charge of visitor reception and staffing management for the Portuguese pavilion.
Local and international momentum
Beyond technical delivery, 160 staff members were recruited locally in Osaka and deployed on site to support reception, management, and operations across the different pavilions. This approach reflects the Group’s commitment to generating local economic benefits and promoting Japanese talent as part of this global gathering.
An international showcase for GL events
Through Expo 2025 Osaka, GL events once again demonstrates its ability to deliver complex, multicultural projects, bringing together international experts and local partners. This presence continues the Group’s development in Asia, and particularly in Japan, which will also host the Asian Games 2026.
