The Hague Jazz Festival

WORLD FORUM - THE HAGUE  09/06/2010 - 12/06/2010

A very successful anniversary edition of the Hague Jazz Festival.

This year, Europe's fastest growing festival, Jazz in The Hague, returned for the fifth time at World Forum in The Hague on 11 and 12 June 2010. The Hague Jazz has celebrated her birthday in a spectacular way: an amazing line-up with international jazz stars, but also the cream of the crop of Dutch up and comers, various surprising collaborations with the Metropole Orchestra, a Pure Jazz Stage, live-art, exclusive expositions and a 'Miles Davis' theme.

The 2010 festival welcomed 23.000 visitors in two days. For the first time in five years the Saturday night was completely sold out. Festival director Ruud Wijkniet is very satisfied about both festival days. 'It was the best edition of our festival since the start thanks to the strong program and the high number of visitors combined with a great atmosphere', says Wijkniet.

Some artists: Wayne Shorter, Toots Thielemans, Kool & The Gang, Waylon, Roger Hodgson, Gino Vannelli & Band, Candy Dulfer, Roy Ayers, Silje Nergaard, etc.
