Environmental issues take front stage at the Pollutec fair.
Lyon is hosting the leading trade fair in the environment sector from 27 to 30 November. During these four days, the fair will be presenting a wide range of equipment, technologies and services for treating and preventing pollution, as well as methods for implementing sustainable development policies. This year's theme is: "The Sustainable City". How can a city reduce its carbon footprint and adapt to climate change? Pollutec answers these questions through its unique offer of eco-technologies devoted to preserving water supplies, controlling energy consumption, recycling waste to produce energy, re-designing urban areas, etc. A forum of conferences and an international seminar will present solutions that have been tried and tested around the world, and discuss these key issues.
For this year's event, GL events Audiovisual was commissioned by the Rhône-Alpes region to design and install the lighting for their stand. The region also consulted the company for a software project, involving 42-inch touch screens on stands to be used by companies specialised in eco-technologies. Tested at the Heavent fair, this medium has already proven its effectiveness for the GL events Group. Consequently, the teams designed and produced content for the 16 companies selected by the region, each one benefiting from a presentation on the 2 touch-screen tables on the stand. This tool is ideal for salespeople who want to present their company and their latest products to the public! By simply scanning a tag, they go the desired page, personalised for each company with photos and videos. The icing on the cake: the software will include a 3D map of the village. Visitors who lose their way will be able to click and zoom on the map to find the stand they are looking for. The application will even be available on 2 self-service iPads.
