The Toulouse International Fair: a sun-soaked 59th edition!

The 2011 Toulouse International Fair (Foire Internationale de Toulouse) closed its doors on 12 April, and the results are already looking positively bright. Indeed, this 59th edition took place under exceptionally sunny skies, and the number of visitors was considerably higher than previous years, resulting in an increase in the number of sales made by the exhibitors.

An increase in the number of visitors and a sunny business environment
The first weekend was a landmark in terms of attendance, with visitors keen to discover this fair’s attractions under the beautiful spring skies. The Toulouse International fair recorded almost 120,000 visitors (compared with 115,000 for the last fair).

The success of the special-offer days and the popularity of the nocturnal sessions
Almost 15,000 visitors benefited from free access over the 3 days. The two nocturnal sessions were also extremely successful, with visitors taking advantage of the fine weather to explore the outdoor food markets.

A high quality exhibition
“Astonishing”, “amazing”, “magical”: these are some of the adjectives used by visitors to describe the “Eternal India” exhibition, a portrayal of the India of yesteryear and today based on authentic shows and exhibits. This invitation to new horizons was an overwhelming success.

Improved access
This year, the Toulouse International Fair created new partnerships that operated successfully, and improved access to the exhibition park. Thanks to the partnership with Tisséo (local transport network), many visitors chose to come to the Fair by bus. The Toulouse boating companies, also partners of the Fair, offered trips on the Garonne River and special access to the docks of the Fair.

The Toulouse International Fair will be 60 years old next year!
Do not miss this anniversary event, full of surprises and fun
From 31 March to 9 April 2012
