"Face aux idées"

The Palais Brongniart is to host the recordings of the new French TV show “Face aux Idées”, a new monthly broadcast on the “LCP” channel.

Face aux Idées from The Palais Brongniart - broadcast on LCP

The Palais Brongniart, a place dedicated to the development of innovative technologies and debate, is to host the recordings of the new French TV show “Face aux idées”, broadcast on the LCP-ADN channel from 20 April 2011 at 20:30, on the third Wednesday of each month and rebroadcast by the channel six times during the month.

The broadcast has been designed and launched by Tilder, a leading communication consultancy, and the Institut Montaigne, a major French think-tank. The show is to be filmed against the backdrop of the prestigious nave of the Palais Brogniart. It is fitting that these televised debates, which aim to provide ideas and meaningful proposals for French society in the 21st century, should take place in the heart of an emblematic venue whose clearly-stated vocation is to contribute to major societal debates and issues by bringing together key players in the field of innovation.

“Face aux idées”, a monthly broadcast presented by Brigitte Boucher and Olivier de Lagarde, promotes the exchange of ideas rather than confrontation between guests by addressing a major societal topic each month, as France looks forwards to the upcoming presidential and legislative elections of 2012.

The broadcast, whose editorial introduction is “done by two voices”, those of Matthias Leridon, the Chairman of Tilder, and Laurent Bigorgne, the Director of the Institut Montaigne, brings together a key guest and students from teaching establishments, secondary schools, universities or “Grande Ecoles” (Top Engineering or Management School), personalities from the political world or general society (company managers, representatives of associations or think-tanks, researchers, etc.).

The first "Face aux idées" broadcast on LCP on 20 April 2011 at 20:30 will focus on: “How to live together in France today?” with special guest Henri GUAINO, Special Counsel to the President of the Republic.

The recording of this monthly TV broadcast at the Palais Brongniart represents a new stage in GL events’ commitment to developing the venue as a centre for promoting new socially-responsible, entrepreneurial and innovative activities that will be the basis of tomorrow’s economy.
