EEMI, the "Ecole Européenne des Métiers de l’Internet" (European School for Internet Professions),

created by Jacques-Antoine Granjon (, Xavier Niel (Free) and Marc Simoncini (Meetic), moves into the Palais Brongniart.


The Palais Brongniart, former home of the French Stock Exchange, becomes a symbol of the new economy

The partnership agreement concluded between the founders of EEMI and the GL events Group, which has been managing the site since 1 July 2010, will enable the first EEMI classes to start their school year in September 2011 at the Palais Brongniart, in the heart of Paris.

Jacques-Antoine Granjon, the Chairman and founder of "is delighted to see the first school dedicated to Internet professions based in a building filled with so much history, and which will soon become a reference centre in terms of the economy of the future."

The installation of the "Ecole Européenne des Métiers de l'Internet" (European School for Internet professions) in the Palais Brongniart perfectly embodies the objective of GL events and the City of Paris to turn this emblematic site into a leading centre dedicated to innovation and new entrepreneurial forms.

"Following the arrival last January of the "Le Camping" start-up accelerator, an innovative business facility managed by Silicon Sentier, we are delighted to welcome the EEMI to the Palais Brongniart. This agreement further reinforces the Palais Brongniart’s position as a reference centre for the new economy, on both a national and international level,” underlines Olivier Ginon, the Chairman of GL events.


The EEMI: "More than just a diploma, a profession"

The EEMI aims to fulfil the requirements of professionals in the e-commerce sector: to train "internet specialists" (webmaster, web-designers, web-marketing, project managers, production managers, etc.) who are immediately operational and have a strong business culture.

The EEMI proposes courses which are resolutely oriented towards the corporate environment. A "tailor-made" preparation for the working world.

The school's quality guarantee is based on the continuous adaptation of training to the realities of the professional world. The EEMI goes beyond the scope of traditional training and aims to be a genuine centre of innovation. The Palais Brongniart symbolises this vocation.


The EEMI, a 3-year programme

Aimed at post-secondary students, whatever their specialisation, the EEMI will train around 200 to 250 students. Following the enrolment request made via the website, the recruitment is carried out based on aptitude tests, and confirmed by an application interview.
The school fees are fixed at €9,500, although the students in the school's first year of classes will have a portion of their fees funded by the founders, thus reducing the overall amount to €6,500.
