WHO ARE WE ?

About GL events
Specialists in event engineering and logistics, quoted on the Second Marché of the Paris Bourse, GL events was founded in 1978 by current President Olivier Ginon, and employs 2085 staff worldwide. With a common approach to communication through events, the market in which GL events operates is divided into three distinct professions with an international vocation.

As a genuine advisory partner to event organizers, our group accompanies our clients from the design to the realization of their projects: general contracting, furnishing, stands, audiovisual services, sound and lighting, structures, grandstands, signage and visuals, air conditioning, electricity distribution, access control, data base management, stewards and hostesses...

Venue and Event Management
GL events is responsible for the marketing and management of reception venues: Convention centres, Exhibition Parks, and Concert Halls. Already present in London, Barcelona, Paris, Lyon, Saint-Etienne, and Clermont-Ferrand, we are pursuing our development in this area in order to offer our customers an even broader selection of venues throughout Europe.

Fixtures, fittings and services to companies
This activity involves designing and installing fittings for museums, cultural venues, and ocean liners, as well as the outfitting of sales or reception areas and show rooms for companies. The Group also offers structures that can be dismantled, on a sale or long term rental basis, and sells aluminium sections and accessories to outfitters.

What products and services does GL events offer ?
GL events is positioned as a global operator, capable of satisfying the requirements of all the different players involved in the events industry:
- provision of services (general contracting, audiovisual services, signage, structures, grandstands, sound and lighting, stands, furniture, data-base management, reception...), adapted to the needs of events' organizers
- event venues (Convention Centres, Exhibition Parks, Concert Halls) which can host all types of events, fairs, conventions, seminars, gala dinners, product launches, shows etc.

In addition, GL events offers fixtures, fitting systems and services to companies. This activity focuses on the outfitting of permanent or semi-permanent spaces, as well as the sale of equipment and accessories.

Today, the Group provides a range of venues and integrated services for all types of event :
- fairs / exhibitions
- sporting, cultural, institutional, political, company events
- conventions and congresses

GL events service package includes event engineering, i.e. the detailed study of all the different aspects of a project (technical, logistic, budgetary, creative and human). As such, the Group is positioned as a genuine advisory partner for all the players in the events industry.




The Group integrates all the areas of expertise necessary for the staging of an event. This unique position allows us to guarantee optimal coordination between the different aspects of the project, and ensures its successful completion.

HOW TO CHOOSE WHAT'S RIGHT FOR YOU ?

Choosing a solution, a product, a service ?
- On the home page go to the section "SOLUTIONS FOR YOUR EVENT ". In the scroll-down menu, click on the products or services you are interested in.
- Click on CUSTOMER SOLUTIONS in the menu, select PRODUCTS and SERVICES.

Examples:
If you wish to fit out an event area, all the solutions are under the heading "CREATION OF SPACE ".
If you are looking for a PA system for your event, all the solutions are under the heading "SOUND SYSTEMS ".
Each solution, product or service chosen directs you to a specific file with details about the item, including: definition / use / technical characteristics / dimensions / options / etc.

Our range is presented by category of product and service. Fine tune the selection by 2 or 3 levels to find the most relevant offer. Select the general category, then the sub-category of product or service that fits your need. For example:
- A general category of product (FURNITURE)
- A sub-category of product (CHAIRS)
- The list of all our products or services. (CHAIRS / STOOLS / ARMCHAIRS etc.)

Finding a product by name or reference number?
- To do a search using a product name or reference : use the quick search box to go directly to the product or service, by typing in all or part of the name or catalogue reference, then click on OK or hit ENTER.

- The definition and use of the product, dimensions, technical information, constraints, colours and options available for the product or service.
- Possibility to download and print documents.

PREPARING YOUR PROJECT

The menu option entitled "YOUR PROJECT" directs you to your personal area on the website. In this area you can create, stock, or delete selections of products or services. In this way, you can prepare your event in advance by creating several lists which you can trigger as and when you want.
- It memorizes all the products and services you have selected.
- You can consult your selections at any time by clicking on "YOUR PROJECT".
- You can modify its content or delete selected products and services.
- It allows us to work together on products you are interested in, but it does not represent an order

How to create your personal area?
Click on the menu heading " YOUR PROJECT "
First you must either register or, in the case you are already registered on the site, type in your e-mail address and password in order to connect to the database.
Once logged on, you have access to the " LIST OF ACTIVE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES "

How the personal area works ?

Give a name to your list or lists.
Click on the name of the list: you can ADD PRODUCTS AND SERVICES by browsing the "PRODUCTS AND SERVICES".
The " ACTIVATE " button allows you to choose the list in which you wish to add or delete products, in the event you have several projects and thus several lists at the same time.
When you have finished modifying your list of PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, you can return to the main menu by clicking on: CREATE OR ACTIVATE ANOTHER LIST OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
To send us your list you must: "ACTIVATE" the list and click on "SEND". Then complete all the details, thus allowing us to respond within 48 hours.
The lists are studied as soon as they are sent.

How will I be contacted once I've sent in my selection ?
By telephone or e-mail. A specialist sales consultant, chosen according to the specifics of your project, will contact you within 48 hours.

What happens after I've sent in a selection ?
You selection entails NO COMMITMENT TO ORDER. It allows you to obtain additional information concerning the products and services required for your project.
It is in no way an order on your behalf, but it enables us to carry out a pro-active study and offer you personalized advice.
Your selection allows us to contact you using the details provided in your form.
The request is analysed and transmitted to the assigned specialist who will contact you.

The site is best viewed in a 1024*768 screen resolution, although 800*600 is also possible.
The GL events site utilizes browser functions integrated in Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape 6, and above.
Browsing the GL events site is only possible when the java option is activated:
