DESTINATION TOULOUSE

Toulouse is the centre of the Midi-Pyrénées region and is home to the fourth largest population in France. It is marked by exceptional economic dynamism and is the European leader for the electronics, computer and microbiology sectors and the French leader in biotechnology. But above all, it is the place where the giant Airbus A380 first spread its wings and is the incontestable space and aeronautics capital of Europe with 533 companies involved in the sector. A hundred service companies accompany the implementation of the Space Programmes. With its 11,000 employees, Toulouse is the Space capital of Europe.

4th biggest city in France and biggest university campus outside Paris, with 110,000 students, 3 universities and 14 Engineering Schools.

14 million tourists visit each year and the rapid growth in business travel confirms the reputation of Toulouse as a host city. 1st region for hydrotherapy in France with 19 spa and 27 establishments.

Toulouse is located within one of the most pleasant geographical areas, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean between the river Garonne and the Midi Canal, and represents the festive ambience of the towns of the south where the pleasures of dining blend with art and conviviality. Toulouse is known for its passionate relationship with rugby but is also France's second University city, a wise mix of dynamism.
