COP 21
The aim of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) was to negotiate a new universal agreement on climate change, in order to maintain global warming below 2°C. GL events supplied and assembled structures for this key event, and also provided audiovisual services, fixtures and fittings for the event spaces.

Maison de la Mutualité
The Maison de la Mutualité was the former headquarters of the French mutual insurance federation . The venue has been managed by GL events since 2010. The Group has renovated the building to return it to its former glory. Today, the venue hosts all types of events, from business meetings and exhibitions to fashion parades.

This is an event that horse-riding fans look forward to every year. Organised by GL events, Equita is the largest equestrian show in France. Each year, around 3,500 horses take part in the event which attracts over 150,000 visitors.

IMF and the World Bank
The Boards of Governors of the IMF and the World Bank met in Lima (Peru) this year to establish the main priorities and focuses for the two institutions. The production of this large-scale event was entrusted to a consortium made up of GL events and the event agency Stimulus.

GL events sales grew 4.9% in the 2006 third-quarter to €89.5 million. As a result, nine-month sales totalled €341.4 million, advancing 11.8% (3.5% at comparable structure and exchange rates). International activity accounted for 32.6% of total Group sales.

The successful integration of the event specialist Kobé, Performance Organisation generated positive contributions to the Venue and Event Management division. The Group is pursuing its goal of increasing the contribution of this business with its significant level of recurring sales and strong margins to 50% of total sales by 2008.

In the third quarter, GL events organized corporate events (for Christian Dior Parfums, Adidas, Alstom, Airbus) and trade shows, congresses and conventions (the Hormatec Horticultural and Landscaping trade fair landscaping trade fair, Assises Nationales des Réseaux de Cancérologie, World Congress on Medical Law, etc.).
Venues under management by the Group also hosted a number of prestigious events: the Dance Biennial at the Lyon Convention Centre, the Budapest Autotechnika/AutóDiga automotive trade fair, Baby Cool Event at the Paris Floral Park, the Summer Festival at the Padua Exhibition Centre, etc.

Global Services performed well in the first nine months, billing more than €200 million. With its flexible offering able to meet the needs of projects of every size and dimension, GL events is able to optimize its expertise and assets to service local, national and international events.

In the third quarter, the Group contributed to such noteworthy events as the Tour de France bicycle race finish on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, the 4x4 trade show in Val d'Isère, the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Shanghai, the Danone Nations Cup tournament in Lyon (young players' international football cup), the Maison & Objet international home decoration, giftware and tableware exhibition, the Grand Palais biennial trade show for antique dealers in Paris, Preview in New York, etc.



In line with its strategy, events will be organized and hosted at venues managed by the Group: Foodapest (an international food, drink and food processing industry trade fair) and Educatio (an international educational exhibition and fair) in Budapest, the Casa su Misura home furnishing and design trade fair in Padua, the Thrombosis and Haemostasis Convention in Saint-Etienne, etc.

In the fourth quarter, GL events will participate in major events in France and international destinations: the SIAL the global food marketplace trade fair, the Geneva International Horse Show, the FIAC International Fair for Contemporary Art in Paris etc.

Before year-end, two major contracts for the Global Services division will be launched providing for installations for the Asian Games in Doha and works for the ICC Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. These two contracts represent revenue of close to $30 million over 2006 and 2007.

In light of the number and quality of projects awarded to the Group, GL events maintains its guidance of 14% growth for full-year sales.

For 2007 first half, the contracts signed in both Venue and Event Management and Global Services (major sport events) will enable the group to show growth over 10%.
