Générale Location's annual sales come to 962 million French Francs (146.6 million Euros), an increase of 12.8 % compared to the one recorded the previous year.
Not counting the impact of the World Cup recorded in 1998, the progression reaches 25%. At the time of the listing of the company on the Second Marché in Paris Bourse, the prospects for 1999 were 880 million French Francs (134.2 million Euros) and 965 million French Francs (147.1 million Euros) for the year 2000.
The prospects for 2000 are reached a year ahead of time.
This progression is apparent mostly in the strategic moves opted for by Générale Location : the breakdown by activity of the annual sales shows a significant growth coming from events, and the profits achieved at the international went from 88.6 million French Francs (13.5 million Euros) in 1998 to 142 million French Francs (21.6 million Euros) in 1999, a 60% increase.
Générale Location anticipates a sustained growth for the year 2000, especially in the fields of events, the international and the Group's new activities.
The withdrawal of Générale Location' s holding in Paris expo' s capital (299 million French Francs or 45.6 million Euros) will open up in the coming months possibilities for important investments in France as well as around the world.
